What is Flourish Movement?
Flourish Movement
"Flourish" means to grow, thrive, and develop in a strong, healthy, and successful way
Flourish Movement is a unique flag and dance program designed for adults
who still have a passion for spinning, as well as children in grades 2–5
who are new to color guard.
Through intentional movement, dance, and the use of props, Ty creates opportunities for self-expression and growth.
Flourish Movement classes offer a supportive and uplifting environment where participants can move freely, build confidence, and rediscover the joy of performing.
✨ Calling all former color guard performers! ✨

About
My name is Ty Ayers Allen
Ty Ayers Allen is the founder of Flourish Movement, a creative space where dance and movement are used to inspire confidence, and emotional well-being.
Her dance journey began in San Antonio Texas where she took ballet, tap and jazz lessons as a child. In Miami, Florida, she participated in a hop hop middle school dance team from 1991–1992. She expanded her performance background in Dallas, Texas through high school color guard and winter guard from 1994–1997, developing strong skills in coordination, musicality, and prop work. During her college years, Ty continued her training by studying tap, ballet, hip hop, and jazz, gaining a well-rounded foundation in both technical and expressive movement styles.
For over 20 years, Ty was an active member of a local Dallas, TX dance team, where she trained and performed praise dance, jazz, ballet, and modern techniques. This long-term commitment deepened her understanding of storytelling through movement and strengthened her ability to blend discipline with creative freedom. In addition to performing, Ty has a strong passion for teaching and mentorship. She has taught color guard flag techniques to both children and adults, helping students build confidence, coordination, and a sense of accomplishment through movement.
Ty remains connected to the joy of performance as a member of a recreational color guard team alongside band moms, continuing to learn, grow, and celebrate movement in a supportive community environment.
